Hello Everyone!
My name is Eric Rangel, and I’m honored to serve as the Executive Director of Latino LinQ.
I first joined Latino LinQ in 2020 as a board member, and after two years of dedicated service, I stepped into the role of our organization’s first Executive Director. At the same time, Juliana Henao made history as the first woman to be elected President of our Board. Together, we’ve helped usher in a new chapter for Latino LinQ—one that continues to build on the foundation of advocacy and service laid since our founding in 2015.
Latino LinQ is proud to be a unique, healthcare-focused nonprofit dedicated to serving the Latinx and LGBTQ+ communities across Georgia. From the beginning, we’ve offered free HIV testing, and in recent years, we’ve seen a concerning rise in STI rates—particularly HIV and Syphilis—among Latinx LGBTQ+ individuals. Georgia consistently ranks among the top states for new HIV diagnoses and transmission rates. In response, we’ve adapted and expanded our testing and outreach efforts to meet our community’s growing needs.
I’m proud to share that under my leadership—and with the help of our community partners, friends, family, and supporters—Latino LinQ has strengthened our HIV testing initiatives and grown our Health Navigator Program. And we’re not stopping there. Starting in May 2025, we will begin offering free Syphilis testing, in addition to our free HIV testing.
We’re also thrilled to announce our partnership with StopHIVATL to launch a bilingual Health Navigator Program. These services are available at no cost, regardless of insurance coverage or immigration status—because access to healthcare should never come with barriers.
We know these are difficult times. Our communities are under constant attack—especially our trans siblings. The current political climate is hostile, with efforts to erase our history, suppress our voices, and stoke fear. But we cannot afford to retreat. Now more than ever, we must rise—together.
Show up. Show up for your loved ones, your neighbors, and for the generations that come after us. Let our courage be louder than their fear-mongering. We are here, we are resilient, and we are not going anywhere.
With gratitude and solidarity,
Eric Rangel
Executive Director
